When you are bored… Blogs I like

When I am bored or when I’ve had a long and tiring day, I like to come home, slouch down really low in my executive chair and browse my favorite websites and blogs. I go to them so much and clear my history so little that all I have to do is type in the first letter or two and I’m already there. It’s nice really. But I have different sites for different moods. For instance, when I am feeling like reading something that will make me laugh but requires little to no thinking, I go to sites like Fail Blog and LolCats. So now I’ll list my favorite blogs and give a short blurb on what they’re about. I’m gonna number them but I really don’t think I can put a number order on a group of amazing blogs.. so keep in my the numbers have no bearing on what’s the best or what’s my favorite.

Dlisted: The funniest celebrity blogger, Michael D, from New York who writes with tons of wit and humor. He is the original funny blogger before Perez Hilton and, while he does write a lot of NSFW and gross stuff, its still really funny and written with care! He also knows what he’s talking about when it comes down to what’s happened to who and when.
The Pioneer Woman: Originally I stumbled across Ree Drummond’s cooking site ThePioneerWomanCooks.com by using StumpleUpon, and that was about 2 years ago. Since then her site has grown to talk about home schooling, photography, photoshop, and much more. If you ask me, her cooking tutorials are still her specialty; she’s got the best directions, recipes, and highest quality photos.
This is Reverb: The young father and pastor that writes this site has a lot of profound and amazing things to say. I’m not religious but I still find myself moved to tears by many of the things he writes and questions he poses. I found him through The Pioneer Woman, as he too does cooking tutorials. All in all I very interesting site with great photography in addition to all its other perks.
Soul Pancake: The brain child of The Office actor Rainn Wilson, Soul Pancake poses many questions regarding life, faith, and what is true. If you’re in the mood to give your perspective on a question via comments without having to worry about crass and rude people burning on your comment, this is a safe and friendly environment to do so. Rainn occasionally has his own blurbs and the site is very interesting.
The Skinny Website: I go here to catch up on what’s happening in the world of celebrity fitness, eating disorders (not good) and body image. I like to see whose looking strong and healthy versus who is looking like they are starving and doing drugs (Lindsay Lohan). I guess it’s sort of sick to be interested in the weight of a total stranger but I also get good ideas on work out clothes and hairstyles from this website.. fashion plagiarism :)
