Last day of ‘What Am I Eating’ week!
I think I’ll try this week again in the future, and it will be better because I will *hopefully* have very few technical difficulties! Yikes!
So this morning I skipped an “official” breakfast and instead had two (very good sized) handfuls of Cadbury’s chocolate Easter egg candies. They are solid chocolate with a very thin candy shell on the outside, shaped like Easter eggs, pastel colored, and the size of Peanut M&Ms. They are my FAVORITE candy when it comes to chocolate and they only come out 1 time a year. So I splurged. Totally, 100% worth feeling bloated for a day or two!! And because I didn’t want to completely remember my unhealthy breakfast choice, I didn’t take any pictures of it. I thought about it but then thought better of it
If I see them in pictures I may want them again! And I must stay on track with this whole losing weight thing! Okay so for lunch…
I went out to lunch with my boss and a co-worker. We chose (I feel I chose, hope I didn’t push it on them?) Mexican food. There’s this great place in our town called Las Casuelas. It’s pretty popular, usually pretty busy, and we’ve gone there for work several times before. But it’s SO good! They have an amazing chicken salad, which I totally SHOULD have got, but I didn’t. I was bad yesterday. Bad in the best way… the way where you have something delicious, enjoy it, don’t beat yourself up, and then just move on! That was me at lunch yesterday. I got a steak & cheese quesadilla. I took a picture about halfway through the meal. I ended up not eating all that much more. Seems like one would be able to finish a quesadilla, right? Well these babies are thick and loaded full of meat! I was full after 1/2. But ate a bit more, as Americans usually do! It was just too good. What can I say, I’m weak for these. Anyway, they don’t have calories on their menu (who’d wanna know!) but I am going to guess-with chips and salsa, the sides of beans & rice with cheese & sour cream/guacamole-the meal was probably in the 1,500 calorie range. I know, I know, a lot for one meal. But wait, can I please justify my bad choices to make myself feel better (<–at least I know that’s what I am doing!)? I never eat there anymore and I probably won’t get anything like that again for a loongg, loonng, time! There. So it was worth it.
Yum. Now I have to run 2 extra miles just to burn it off! Like I said, if you’re gonna splurge… S P L U R G E
