For lunch today we did our (almost typical) weekend trip to Baja Fresh. Normally I get a salad, last time we went I tried their grilled chicken sandwich, but this time I decided to go with a veggie burrito. It’s not the veggie burrito, but I made it a veggie burrito. I got the Ultimo and it had white onions, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, jack cheese and salsa. It was good. Fattening, but good. Our trip looked like this:
And for dinner, several hours later of course, we had grilled chicken on corn tortillas with lime & hot sauce. It’s a recreation of the Tacos Al Carbon at El Pollo Loco, which have white onion, cilantro, vegetable oil, chicken & tortilla. I left out the onion & cilantro, because Matt doesn’t like these things, and I also didn’t need the vegetable oil for cooking the chicken because it was pre-cooked grilled strips. Plus I just heated up the tortillas in the microwave, no need to cook ‘em in oil. I had two small tacos with one handful of chips and Matt had one taco with lots of chips. It was pretty satisfying.
And after dinner, feeling like we needed a ‘lil sugar, Matt and I went to McDonald’s and did something fattening & got ice cream! I got a medium and he got a large and it was so good! And now that it’s 8:15 it’s finally cool enough to go for my run and that’s what I’ll do. I may not be able to burn off that cheese and tortilla from lunch but maybe I can get rid of some of that ice cream calories! I spent all day avoiding these:
…but then ate ice cream! Not that either are good for you, I’d still like to argue ice cream is the lesser of two evils. Anyone wanna back me up on that, just so I feel better??
Overall, I’ve had way worse eating days & not excercised so I don’t feel too bad! I had a healthy breakfast of Greek yogurt and fruit and my afternoon snack today was my faithful banana with reduced fat peanut butter:
Now it’s 8:26 & I’m off to go for a run & then a walk with Matt and Leon. Should be fun to get in a lil’ family time on Saturday night
Also.. tomorrow my sister and I are going to Sacramento to Tori Spelling‘s book reading and signing!! I’m excited! Something fun & different and we are both REALLY hoping to get a picture with her! Her new book is called Uncharted TerriTORI and she’ll be reading passages from it tomorrow.
More exciting news: I’m finally getting rid of this shiteous, hard to read, crapola layout and updating to WordPress 3.0! I am SO excited! It’s going to look way better and way more my style. YEAH BUDDY!
Hope everyone has a fun Saturday night!
