Turkey, Teriyaki Chicken and Chocolate Puddin’

Okay, my meals weren’t as wacky and random as the post title makes it sound! In fact, today was a creatively healthy day as far as food goes!

For breakfast I had my new Fage Greek Yogurt that came with peaches in it. It was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Rich & creamy, much like the Knudsen’s cottage cheese & fruit pairings except the nutritionals on the Fage were much better. Of course, slightly less good for you than the yogurt by itself, but good for a change! This would make a good after dinner before bed snack!

For a snack I had a banana with a tablespoon of peanut butter melted over the top, like I normally do. I didn’t take a picture because I’ve posted pictures of that snack more than a few times & I know you guys don’t wanna see it again :)

Lunch came later than normal today and I was ready for it! Here’s what I had:

It was good. A nice change of pace because I haven’t had a sandwich (a healthy one, at least) in ages. The only thing I’d do differently next time is used horseradish mustard instead of the hummus. I normally like hummus but this time it just funkified the sandwich flow. I still managed to eat the whole thing & the bag of chips though! And a Kashi Honey Almond Flax bar. It was goooood.

Dinner was simple. Last night I had cooked some boneless, skinless Chicken tenders in my wok with some teriyaki sauce. So I came home and steamed some green beans & broccoli, made a pack of white rice and called ‘er done. 15 minutes is all it took and it hit the spot! We scarfed this whole bowl: (but on our own plates, of course)

Mix it all up...

For dessert I tried something a little weird. I mixed:

-2 cups of light vanilla soy milk

-1 package of sugar free chocolate pudding (it calls for milk but I used light soy cause that’s all we had!)

-6 frozen strawberries

-1 cup light vanilla yogurt

Mixed it all up and it made a yummy little parfait of only 200 calories. Yum :)

Look ugly, tastes GOOD

Now Matt and I are digesting while we relax. He has a double-header tonight and I am going to try and put 3.36 miles under my belt once it cools down around 8pm.

Oh, and, Day 15 below :)

15/365

Have a good evening my peeps :)

UPDATE: Haven’t ran yet but had a little snack to get my energy goin’… man I’m tired today! Tired & hungry! Blowy!

Kashi Soakin' up the Soy!

This snack did the trick! Ready to run! Update to come later :)

UPDATE #2:

Ran 3.36 miles! Longest I’ve ran in ONE run WITHOUT stopping since I’ve been this fat at this current weight! Total time was 33:53:10.

I felt good because the run felt good. I paced myself almost perfectly (slow but consistent) and I even sprinted at the end! I feel like I possibly could’ve run another 1.09 mile loop but I wasn’t sure how much I should push it. My calves did start to get pretty tight around the 2.75 mile mark. I figure working my way up is better than pushing all at once… but what do I know?

Tomorrow I am shooting for the same mileage only this time I want to use My Tracks to chart my pace, precise distance and all that junk.

Now it’s time for a hot shower and some junk TV. Goodnight peeps :)
