Tooesdee (Say it Like an Old Man). Why Don’t We Spell It Like That, Anyway?

Leon Maxin' Out (as always)

While I was outside hitting the pavement, Leon was inside barking at shadows and growling at “birds” (and we use that term loosely as “birds” are often leaves blowing in the wind, or, ahem, his imagination). Sometimes I wish I could be a dog!

Tuesday Run:

Total Distance: 8.63 km (5.36 miles)

Total Time: 53:47:93

Max Speed: 14:40 km/hr

Average Speed: 9:59 km/hr

Tonight I had hoped to do a “long run” of about 6 miles. Once I started running I changed the route up, having no idea how long my new route would be. This one just felt better. I knew the area better and the streets were more familiar. I ended up getting a really sore knee about 3/4 of the way home and the last bit was really rough. The only reason I didn’t stop and walk was because I just wanted to get home! On this run, I probably had about 3-4 minutes of stopped time waiting for crosswalk signals and traffic. Not bad, considering the roads I ran on.

I felt stronger in my running today but since my knee now hurts I think I’ll take a chill pill on adding distance this week and just do some short runs and strength training. Next week I’ll work up to 7 miles… I hope :)

Energy wise I felt good pretty much all day.

For breakfast I had a Chocolate Chip Clif Bar. Shh, don’t tell Matt, it’s his favorite flavor :) Normally I try to eat the other flavors but this morning I accidentally grabbed his fav. Oops. For lunch I had 1 cup of oatmeal, 1 Orowheat Sandwich thin with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and 1 medium banana cut up and put on top.

Oaty Goodness

It never gets old!

For an afternoon snack I had 1/2 of an Nectarine and 5 slices of Watermelon.

Cold Fruit = Wonderfulness

For dinner I made boneless/skinless chicken tenders marinated in Lemon Pepper 30-minute marinade and simmered in the Wok. Along with that I made fresh green beans, broccoli, and whole wheat pasta.

Dinnnnaaahhh

I wasn’t much in the mood for a plate of hot food so I had one small sliver of chicken (I don’t really like Lemon Pepper anyway, but it’s Matt’s favorite) and had 2 1/2 cups of Kashi Heart to Heart cereal with 1 1/2 cups light vanilla soymilk instead.

Kashi & Soymilk

Nom :)

Matt enjoyed the dinner though, and it fueled him up for his baseball game tonight so that makes me happy.

As for my 365 picture? I decided I’m going to try new angles, so here’s my attempt at creativeness for today, which turned into cleavage-big nose-maybe bald angle. Whatev.
