Things That Bug Me/Things I Like

This morning I woke up and went downstairs to get a towel and some under clothes before my shower. You know what I found? One of the two new bras I just bought (my ONLY two, I might add) with the underwire hanging an inch out of the center part. REALLY?! I just got it a month ago (two months ago at the most!) and have honestly only worn it and washed it less than 3 times. SERIOUSLY. I was so mad. And that’s how I started the day.

And so, I decided it is a good day to list things that piss me off, in hopes that it will make me feel better. And then to list things I like, to make me feel even better. Or maybe just less annoyed? We’ll see.

I hate, hate, hate (hate a million times over) when the barista at Starbucks (or another customer) makes a comment about my drink. See, I get the Cafe Americano (two parts Espresso, one part water) with Non-fat milk (less than 1/4 cup) and 10 packets of Splenda. Espresso is strong & wakes me up but it’s bitter as all hell, so I splenda it up. I get this drink every time I go. The people at the Starbucks near my work just know. But when I go to a new Starbucks and the barista says “1o SPLENDAS?!” with this stupid, irritating, surprised, idiotic look on their face, I want to punch them. Why? Because it’s Splenda, not brown sugar, and it’s calorie free. And because my 10 splenda’s tastes A WHOLE HELL OF A LOT LESS SWEET than the caramel covered, whipped cream concoctions that half of America orders… but the baristas don’t say a word to those people… DO THEY?! Ugh I’m pissed just thinking about it. And this weekend we stopped in some city at Starbucks on our way to Reno and a lady (customer) heard the barista call out our drink as he was putting in on the counter and SHE said, “Did I hear that right? 10 Splendas? Have some Coffee with your Splenda, why don’t you!” … OH MY GOD. I wanted to punch her in the mouth. Lady,  first of all, MYOB please. Second of all, YOU ARE GETTING A STRAWBERRIES AND CREME CONCOCTION FULL OF SUGAR AND WHIPPED CREAM AND REAL CREAM AND MILK. SO SHUT UP PLEASE! Ugh, people need to just recognize!

Another thing that pisses me off is when someone invades your personal space. If you are making a copy at the copier, the person waiting for the copier needs to give you at least 3 feet of space. At least! If you are the creeper who creeps up behind people while they are copying, making tea, toasting bread, filing documents, ETC… then  you suck. Learn personal space. No matter WHERE YOU COME FROM it is essential that you learn personal space! Ok? Thanks!

Nail polish that chips the day after you paint your nails. Enough said.

Oh and you know what else is really rude? When you are talking to someone and they completely interrupt you and change the subject and/or talk to someone else. If you are in a conversation with someone and Jimmy walks by and you need to ask Jimmy where his car is, CAN YOU NOT WAIT UNTIL YOUR CURRENT CONVERSATION IS OVER? Must you REALLY cut me off and say “Oh hey Jimmy where’s your car?” And then turn to me and say “Ok, what were you saying?” If you do this, ever, you are a jerk.

People who want to correct you and/or just be right all the time. These people usually don’t know that they’re the super obnoxious person who always has to be right, and they usually hate others who always have to be right. This is the person that corrects you on the dumbest crap and then has a satisfied look on their face. I mean, we all want to be right but these are the people that get some weird satisfaction out of correcting every last unimportant detail. You can say: “I’m going to eat a PB&J sandwich” and they will say: “Actually, you’re eating a Peanut butter sandwich with jam, and the J in PB&J usually stands for Jelly.” It’s like, who even cares? They do. This is usually the same person who also steals credit for things, tries to trick people into thinking they are something they’re not, and is overall just annoying. Example. This person probably brags about stuff that, in actuality, they don’t do. Oye!

Another thing I hate is people who gossip too much. I think it’s safe to say that women generally like to talk. Gossip can be light-hearted and fun. But the chicks who tell someone every single last word that you tell them and make it sound worse/more dramatic than it is? Lame! As I get older, I’m sad to say that I still see this is women. I thought it was an age thing but it’s just a maturity thing, I think. I believe these gossip-lovers like the feeling they get when people are listening to them (even if what they are saying isn’t true)… that they are the center of attention and in the know. Anyone agree? Big time gossipers just cause drama and that sucks!

Okay, okay. I can keep going on and on but I’d rather not.

Now onto a few things that I like!

The way you sleep on a fresh pair of clean sheets. I love that cool feeling your feet get when you kick your legs around in them for the first time. Ahh, sounds nice right now.

Famous women who ((seem)) healthy and happy. It sets a good example for the rest of the real people in the world. Two examples of that for me? Carrie Underwood (although I don’t listen to her music) and Carrie Bradshaw Sarah Jessica Parker.

CARRIE UNDERWOODSince I posted a picture of SJP already I thought I’d give Carrie some face time here. She’s so cute and always dressed so nicely I just think she’d be a good person. I could definitely be wrong.

Ok, I also am easily made happy by BIG RINGS. I love big, huge, colorful rings. I don’t have that many but I love them. I’m wearing one today and I will post a picture of it later!

And, um, I can’t think of anything else at the moment because I’m grumpy!

How about YOU all tell me something good?

I could go on for ages here… ;)

Let’s see, things that bug me are:

People that have nothing better to do then start / create drama!

    LIARS!

When you go to get a drink out of the fridge and the container (i.e. a juice bottle or milk carton) is empty!!

    Laziness!

People who think that they’re entitled!

People who think that what they do is sooooo important that they can’t take a 5 second break (say, to eat a cookie)!

    Selfishness!

    Things that I like are…

    Caley’s giggles in the morning.

The smell of a clean house.

Laundry right out of the dryer.

Blake’s face when he sees Toy Story come on.

    Austin reading on his own!
