Yesterday Matt and I went to the lake with his parents and his sister and her husband. Or, because I’m lazy and hate explaining familial relationships, we went with my IL’s, my SIL and BIL (although I know he’s not my BIL, I still call him that!)
I swiped that awesome hat from my MIL; she’s got two. Who doesn’t need two huge straw hats? That’s what I’m sayin’ 
I tried to be J.Lo and rock it but I think I just looked like I needed to be picking daisies in a garden in a Bounce sheet commercial or something.
Anyway, we had a great time! Lots of chatting, relaxing, and goofing around… a perfect end to the weekend!
I only got burned on my legs and side-boob area so in my book that’s a win. I usually come back from water-related trips with a mean burn everywhere, no matter how much sunscreen I wear. I did feel kinda sick this morning (Monday) and I think it’s the side effect of the sunburn I did get.
Since the lake is the lake (water, sand, food, drinks, people) I won’t recap every little detail. Instead I’ll just share a handful of pictures (the only ones I took!):
It was really nice out—not so hot that you couldn’t breathe but not too cool that you didn’t enjoy the water. All in all it was a great little day trip with the family and we had a great time!
