My big ship photo. It’s an actual photo that’s been put to black and white. It’s got a 1960 date on it. It’s huge! As of now, it’s just sitting on the floor in one of our guest bedrooms but I have high hopes for it! I would like this painting to be the centerpiece of a nautical themed guest room or (hopefully one day) nursery. It’s so big and cool, if you could see it in person you’d love it! I also have a replica ship thats about 7 feet long and 5 feet tall (my Uncle works at a Naval station and got it for me for my wedding–you can see me next to his ship–the same one he got for me–on my Facebook profile pictures) and I want that to go somewhere cool with this painting. Also to go with this theme is a Tiffany’s lighthouse lamp and a piece of wood from the lake. It’s also really cool. It would make for a great invisible shelf for the ship, although the wood isn’t long or wide enough.
I don’t know what it is but I really just love nautical & ship stuff. I look at this painting and while it’s a bit chaotic I just feel calm. It’s great. I wouldn’t give this painting up for anything
How’s that for materialistic?
Oh, and my new sandals (see Monday’s post) come today! I’m so taking a picture of posting it! They’re going to be amazing (I hope!)
