My shoe collection! I probably have close to 75 pairs of shoes… only a quarter (or maybe 35?) of those are shoes that make up my *ideal* shoe collection. What does that mean? That means I am building a group of amazing shoes that make any outfit way better, make my feet feel pretty (or just less feet-y), and make you feel taller and smarter when you wear them (ok, maybe not smarter). One day, I hope my shoe collection is made up ONLY of shoes like these. But, alas, shoes are expensive so collections like this take time.
The other shoes not included in this amazing collection? My everyday shoes; past due Old Navy flip flops, Roxy sandals I’ve had for ten years, my “yardwork” Nike’s that are a million different colors and shades of stain, my knock off Ugg’s that I used to wear at our apartments when walking the dogs through the wet grass, etc, etc. Some of the good shoes, which I am proud to say I’ve been working on for the last two years, are: my REAL Ugg boots (I waited three seasons for those damn things!), my Mary Jane pumps (3-colors: brown, black & silver/gray), my dress boots, my strappy sandals, the purple croc-skinned pumps I bought and people said I’d never wear (and I wear them all the time!), my gray ankle booties (“pirate boots!”), and many more. When I first started my collection I was really big into Jessica Simpson‘s shoes–her brand has got a pretty good selection and I like nearly every style she makes. But as my collection grew, my taste expanded (if taste can do that). I now really like Harajuku Lovers, N.Y.L.A., Naughty Monkey, Miss Me, Michael Antonio, Fergie & many more. But yes, I still do buy Jessica Simpson. My latest acquisition? A lovely pair of Yellow Daisy sandals by Wanted. I love them.
Below are a few pictures I took of some of my most frequently worn favorites. The ones I’ve worn the most (as you can tell my all the scuffies
which make me sad) are the Black leather Mary Jane pumps by Jessica Simpson. They are the 5th picture. The 2nd picture is also the same ones just in Iridescent silver. Looks kinda hideous but they’re cute in real life. Trust me! The ones that I wear the least I didn’t photograph. But of the ones below, I guess I wear the Georgina sandals (the 7th picture) the least. Kind of got them at the end of summer last year and missed my chance to wear them. Which ones do you like the most of the ones pictured below (and the one wayy above)?? Now you know something material I love.. (but what girly girl doesn’t love a fat shoe collection? That’s about the only thing she does want fat!).. what do you love?
