“Something Borrowed” Giveaway!!

Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin

I know, I know. This is a blog about exercisin’ and eatin’ right. And trust me, there will be plenty of giveaways that relate to those topics… I promise! Today,  however, I am doing a different type of giveaway: one of my favorite books by my favorite author, Emily Giffin!

What prompted this? Last weekend I commented on Emily Giffin’s Facebook pageTori Spelling. I didn’t think she actually read all of her Facebook comments, but an hour later she wrote on my wall! I was so totally psyched because 1. Emily Giffin is my favorite author and 2. she just had her first book, Something Borrowed, made into a romantic comedy starring Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin and John Krasinski. And you guys know me… I LOVE The Office & I LOVE John Krasinski so I cannot wait to see this movie! 3. Did I mention Emily is my favorite author?! So I was beyond stoked. Not only did she say she Loved my blog but she also said I take beautiful food pictures?! WHHAA?! Ok, ok, I’m sure she only looked at the first post but STILL. I was feelin’ pretty great there for a couple of hours! and referenced my blog.. to be exact, she posted an old 90210 picture and I mentioned in the comments section that I had recently met

To show my love for her writing and to spread the word about how great her  books are, I am giving away the first book of a 2-part series, the book that is currently being made into a movie.

    I have only read one of Emily Giffin's books and that would happen to be "Something Borrowed". I absolutely LOVED IT!!! It kept me hooked the whole way through :) My mom just got me Love the One You're With, and I can't wait to read it. So I would totally enter your giveaway, but I already have the book lol But I will tune into the next giveaway. I need to read Something Blue next!!

    OK, If you love Emily Griffin as much as I love Deepak Chopra, then you must be in heaven!!! How freakin cool is that?! I've never read one of Emily's books but my all time fav. is Life After Death (surprise) by Deepak Chopra.

    I don't think I've read an Emily Griffin book. I'm gonna be honest with ya…I love to read. I used to read books all the time, but, since I've had 3 kids, I don't have any time! So I don't even remember who my favorite author is, or what my favorite book is! Sad, huh? I 'think' I love Mary Higgons Clark. A lot of the mystery type/case solving books.

    Sweet giveaway! I have never read one of her books but I am all about seeing the movie, sounds like a great cast. I don't get to read a lot now since my 3 kids take up all of my time. But in my life before kids, I read Jane Green all the time. All of her books are fantastic.

    To tell the honest truth, I hadn’t heard of Emily Giffin until the shots of the movie being filmed made it to the internet, and being a massive Kate Hudson fan, I was intrigued. I’ve picked up Something Borrowed so many times, but because I have so, so many books to read for university, I have to put it down again and buy something boring like Middlemarch by George Eliot :( rnrnI have too many favourite books to list, it would take too long! But I’ll nominate the Babysitters Club for getting me started with my love of reading :)
