Monday

I’ll admit. I write a lot of my Monday morning posts on Sunday night. I cheat, so what? Everyone cheats sometime, right? I mean, the idea of getting up an hour or two early to write before I get ready for work is nice, and I’m sure I’d feel like a rockstar if I did it, but it’s not happening. As it is, I’m still trying to get back to morning work-outs. And that hasn’t happened yet, either. So until then, some of my morning posts will remain to be done the night before. Now that you know my secret, I don’t have any more secrets, so I’m trustworthy again :)

Anyway, what did everyone do this weekend? I had a pretty eventful weekend, especially since we didn’t really go anywhere.

Friday night I saw Inception with my husband and some friends from work, as I mentioned here, and it was amaaaazing. Then Saturday we slept in, got Starbucks, relaxed around the house, went out to lunch (remember–I mentioned Chipotle screwed up my salad.. and now I’m never going back!?) and basically just enjoyed our day together. We went to Safeway and got a few groceries (mainly Watermelon, since I’ve been craving it for a month!) and a DVD. We ended up getting Public Enemies instead of the Wolfman, because Matt said he wanted to see Public Enemies. And then he only watched the first 20 minutes of it, so I could’ve got Wolfman :) But PE was pretty good. Not what I thought it was going to be, but good. I am pretty well-read on the 1930′s American gangster period, mostly because of my love for Alcatraz, but also because my grandma got a ride from a famous gangster in the 1930′s when she was just a child. Pretty cool, huh?

Johnny Depp did an amazing job, as he always does in every movie he’s in. Christian Bale did a good job, too, although he wasn’t in the movie all that much. Did you know that the character that Bale played actually killed himself in real life? No one knows if it was suicide or an accident,  but rumor has it the man killed himself with the same gun he used to help take down Depp’s character, John Dillinger. Weird, huh?

After watching that, I was in the mood for a scary movie but it was too late to start one. So Sunday I watched The Hitcher, with Sophia Bush. And when that didn’t cut it, I decided to watch The Ring. It’s funny because I’ve seen both of these movies and own them both but it had been such a long time since I’d seen them that I kind of forgot if I liked them or not! The Hitcher was slightly scarier than I remember, but still not super great. Definitely not awful but still not great. Why? A few of the things that happen are unbelievable, even for a scary slasher-esqe movie. And The Ring? Well, I didn’t exactly remember the whole plot line precisely but it was pretty good. More eerie than scary. Maybe it was scarier when it came out? I still enjoyed myself watching it, though. I also think Naomi Watts is a good actress, so it was good seeing her in something since it’s been a while since I’ve seen one of her movies.

the ring(The creepiest thing from The Ring is when the girl climbs out of the TV!) I’ve never seen The Ring Two. Have any of you?

I did take a picture yesterday (Sunday) for the 365 challenge, I just haven’t posted it. But I’ll post it tonight along with today’s.

And I plan to post some of the maternity pictures I took yesterday, too. The “shoot” went really well. I forgot how much I like talking to Kim! She looks great, too. One of those petite girls who just gets a round tummy and stays pretty slender everywhere else. Awful, isn’t it! :)

Hope everyone has a good Monday. I hope mine goes by fast (the work part, at least!) because I have so much to do! I successfully got no housework done, no reading done, and nothing else, either! So I have a full week of cleaning, laundry, photo editing, and all the other daily things. Oye! I’m tired already!

Happy Monday, peeps.
