Monday.. (Say it in the Droopy Dog voice!)

I think by nature, Monday’s just tend to stink.

I left any/all of my camera’s at home today, thus no pictures of breakfast (1 container Non fat Voskos greek yogurt, 1/2 Whole Grain Cheerios, 1/2 cup Kashi Heart to Heart, 1 Banana), lunch (1 1/2 cups oatmeal with 1 nectarine cut up inside with whole wheat thin toast on the side with 2 tablespoons peanut butter), OR dinner (turkey sandwich on whole wheat thin with avocado, horseradish mustard, red onion, baby spinach, and reduced fat cheese with a handful of Jalapeno tostitos)–OK!.. I was just too hungry at dinner to go upstairs and get the camera. But the other meals were missed legitimately!.. and my cell phone just wouldn’t have done ‘em justice. I did, however, manage to get a few pics of my evening snack/pre-run snack:

Wait, don’t get sidetracked by the delicious treat, I was talking about the blowiness of Monday. What else?? Umm, it was hot, the AC was broken in our office and someone made brownies at work! I didn’t eat any (they really aren’t my thang) but it got me thinking how hard stayin’ healthy at work is gonna be. On top of this all, I had a 6.2 mile run planned for tonight but my plans have been changed. My husband is going to run with me so instead we are going to do a 5k around our neighborhood. Slightly less mileage than I had wanted to do but it will be nice to have a running buddy!

Okay so I guess Monday wasn’t that bad. I just needed a moment to be dramatic, I guess :) Guess what I got in the mail today? A nice little letter from SOYJOY along with some lovely coupons:

What’s with the random letter & coupons from SOYJOY, you ask? Well, in order to get my blog jumpstarted and really going, I have been contacting companies for samples (& vice versa) so that I could review them on my blog. I mean come on, if you’re going to have a health and fitness blog you might as well try for that swag, right :) Plus, I would love to start doing giveaways for my readers. SOYJOY e-mailed me and said they’d send me some coupons.. and they did! No, it’s not coupons for anything FREE but a deal is still a deal and I’LL TAKE IT! :)

I think I’ll end my Monday night post with this question: Why do you run?

I run because I feel better about myself when I do. I run because I have a deep desire to be a runner. I run because I can think when I run. I run because it makes my legs look good. I run because I want to be healthy. I run because I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’ll never wake up looking like this:
