It had some recurring characters were a plot would evolve through out that season, mainly a gang and a group of cops trying to catch them. But the story was told from different viewpoints within the community each season. 1st was the police force, then there was the dock yards, school, politics and the last one was paper/media. It was rather gripping stuff and always felt fresh due to the major change in what that season focused on. The Wire was some drama that took place in Baltimore. Lost is on it's 6th and final season. That was planned from the beginning. But over here, 6 seasons is short because many shows run into their 10th to 11th seasons. And I usually can't get into shows that have been hyped a lot (Heroes, Lost, etc) while they're on air. I end up watching them once they've ended and decide if I like them.
