Wow, today has been so long! Normally I try to go into work between 7am and 8am, so I am used to getting up early. But last night I went to bed late, didn’t sleep well, and woke up early to go with Matt to get his blood drawn. After working a full day (plus!), we had to go to a Doctor’s appointment right after work and from there we had errands to run! By the time we got home I was so beat I was ready for a nap! But, alas, we had a birthday dinner to attend.
Anyway, I started my day with 1/2 cup of oatmeal with Splenda to sweeten it
Because I didn’t have any fresh fruit to add, this amount wasn’t very filling and I found myself wishing I would’ve eaten a bit more for breakfast around 10am! So that’s when I had a sort of high calorie (but SUPER delicious) snack.
One tablespoon of peanut butter on a sandwich thin with a banana on top (& on the side):
This is one of my favorite snacks on days I am going to have a hard work out. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time for ANY working out today
The snack was still tasty and filling, regardless.
Then for lunch I went home and had a bowl of cereal consisting of: 2 cups Multigrain Cheerios, 1/2 cup Honey Bunches of Oats and 1 1/2 cups FF Milk.
It needed fruit but like I said, I’m out! BUT it hit the spot and filled me up! Cold milk on a hot day is refreshing!
I got hungry for an energizing snack about 3 hours after lunch so I had Peanut Butter Clif Crunch granola bar and a cup of Applesauce.
Maybe higher calorie than I wanted but it was definitely energizing. After our long afternoon/evening of running around, I was starving around 5:30. Like seriously, soo hungry. But we weren’t supposed to have dinner until 7:45ish so I ate a Chocolate Brownie Clif Z Bar for a snack. I hadn’t planned another snack but I also hadn’t planed a late dinner so I improvised. It held me over until dinner, when I had this:
I was really hungry and I normally get the Guiltless Caribbean Salad at Chili’s but I wanted an even lower calorie salad so I opted for the GG Asian Chicken Salad. It wasn’t good. It was beyond disappointing. I was so hungry that I put ketchup on the chicken (weird but it sounded good) and scarfed it down, picked the veggies out of the greens and left probably 1/4 of it on my plate. No flavor! Not good!
We got home and hot-air popped some white popcorn kernels and put tabasco on it to salvage the night
It was good!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Wednesday
P.S. Sorry for the lack of posting today, it’s been super busy! I will make it up this weekend, I promise
