I was bad today.

In oh so many ways. But I started off on the right foot, with this:

Apple Pie Lara Bar

It was good. It took me a few hours to snack on it because it was dense and sweet, but it made for a good mid-morning, post-Clif bar breakfast type of snack. Still, disappointed in the size when looking at the calories and cost.

Since I over slept this morning (and went to work with a bad outfit and bed head), I brought left overs for lunch. Healthy, right? Well… I added a side of fries. Side note: I work at a product development center for a meat company, which means they are constantly making all kinds of food. Normally I don’t have a problem saying no when I don’t want something but today the fries called my name. Shelby, eat us. We need you.

Leftovers with a kick of Fries

As I mentioned in my post about my “problem areas”, I often make myself sick with guilt when I eat badly. Since I’ve hurt my knee (and since we have yet to receive the elliptical we purchased, my bike is dismembered in the garage Dexter-style, and we quit the gym) I haven’t exercised. Because of that, I’ve really been trying to watch what I have been eating. But today was a major fail. Because after the fries, I had this carby delight:

Big 'Ol Roll

I’m a sucker for worthless carbs, especially when they come in the form a big ‘ol piece of bread. I gobbled it down, every last crumb. It was good. Oh and you thought I couldn’t consume anything else, right? ‘She’s got to be full by now.’ Oh no ladies. I went for the gold on eating crap today.

I didn’t eat the whole piece because it was so amazingly sweet and dense. But I had plenty of it, don’t kid yourselves. It was good. And I am working on not making myself feel horrible when I splurge, and today I actually felt okay regarding guilt. I just felt too full :( Maybe it’s out of my system for a while? Tomorrow’s a new day :)

Before showering and blogging, Matt and I had to get some stuff at Home Depot. I hate going there. But I scored an awesome action shot of my man doing manly stuff.

And I got my Day 30 picture, as well.

I know, I am looking worn out. That’s after a nap and a bad hair day so, considering, I don’t actually look as rugged as usual.

Anyway, today & tonight I am exhausted! But it was lovely to come home and be cheered up to see how many people have entered my Bondi Band Giveaway! YAY! :)

    Oh Rae, I totally do that too! I know that’s a bad way to think of it (“I already ate this so why not just eat that”) but I totally do it! nnHaha, thanks.. I know I look awful but a stressful day and a trip to Home Depot will do that :)

    Everyone has bad eating days. If you are “bad” once during the day, you're probably more likely to keep eating that way for the day. I know that's what I do!
