I need a change

2008's were Great!

And since changing physically (body-wise) takes time, and changing mentally & emotionally can’t happen over night, that only leaves me with one do-able, gratifying, much-needed change: my hair. Since my wedding in 2008 I have been blonde. I started out the beginning of ’08 a brunette and ended it a blonde. I used to go back and forth all the time, and maybe that’s why my hair won’t grow out anymore? Perhaps :)   But now I’m thinking I need a change.. badly!

New Years Eve 2008 (I think!)

Please excuse the terrible facial and expression; I was hiding braces (for the second time) and felt self-conscious, in case you hadn’t picked that up in the photo! ;) Here are the reasons I liked being a brunette:

-My hair grew out faster (it’s true!)
-My hair actually got long! (As someone who’s bleached/dyed/bleached their hair for over 12 years, let me tell  you bleach-less hair grows so much faster!)
-My hair was healthier!
-It looked better; shinier, thicker, and it took less work to look good

Now, here are the con(s) I experienced with being a brunette:

-It washed me out completely. I put a (s) next to con because the biggest reason was all looks; I just feel like I look better as a blond.

Then I thought, instead of going brunette (red head is out of the question–my mom has red hair so nothing against it just don’t want to look exactly like my parents just yet!) maybe.. cut bangs? But when I gain weight I gain it in my stomach and face, and unless you’re doin’ the pin-straight thing with your hair and you’re a super thin, trendy-gal, bangs just don’t work! And a chubby face with bangs could make me look like I’m seven years old.

Seriously.

The Shortest My Hair Has Been in My Adult Life! Uck!

So I turn to you beautiful ladies to tell me.. what’s a good solution to my yearning for hair change? Dye my hair dark to feel rejuvenated for the fall and perhaps get a little (MUCH DESIRED) length on my locks? Or.. do something else? Please! Tips! Advice! Fun hair facts! Anything! I’m so tired of my same hair style/part/color/routine I could scream!

Oh and P.S.: No two-tone! I did that for many years but Matt and I both got burned out on it! I think it looks great but I’ve been there! :)

P.P.S. Here are some looks I’ve done:

Brunette (and NO make up!)

Moderate Two Tone

Super Two-Tone (Me and My Gramma!)
