Good (Crampy) Morning, Saturday

While some of us slept quite soundly this morning, some of us did not. And the latter would be me. I awoke at 5:45am with horrible, horrendous, awful cramps. I’m talking close to tears status! For those of you who don’t get bad cramps, thank your lucky stars. The women in my family (actually, just my sister and I) get really awful, crippling cramps. I grew out of it (or they disappeared) for a couple of years but the recent few months they’ve been awful. For those of you who saw my tweet this morning, you know how I spent my first few hours of Saturday. For those of you who don’t follow me, here’s what I tweeted:

The History Channel portion of that was actually awesome. I have been watching installments of America: The History of Us. This morning I went through three episodes, ones about the Donner Party, Gold Rush and Cotton Gin. This is a truly amazing series and if you haven’t seen it, it’s definitely worth buying. Yes, buying. Take that rentals. Winking smile The rest of my morning has been icky, though:

The blue thing is the heating pad (it helps so much—I don’t think I could get through this without it!) and not pictured are the other heroes: ibuprofen, water, and coffee (actually, caffeine makes cramps worse but it makes my caffeine-addiction headache stay far, fary away!) Worth the trade off!

Because I woke up feeling like ish, I didn’t hit up the gym in the morning as I had previously planned. What do you know—life doesn’t go just the way you want it to! That’s a new one to me… Winking smile

I plan to go later, after Matt and I do some exciting stuff today. Like I said last week, I hope I have a surprise for you guys later!

Happy Saturday Smile

I feel your pain. Unfortunately literally!nnI’ve tried to explain to my lucky friends that their stomach aches aren’t cramps – that cramps are these miserable, debilitating, gut wrenching, terrible things that make me miss work and want to throw up. Blah.nnFeel better! At least it will go away soon, and then you’ll be good for another few weeks.
