Found a New Blog/Blogger I Love: The Skinny Runner

The Skinny Runner.

Don’t know how I found her but all I can say is that I am BEYOND HAPPY that I did.

My goal is to run a marathon before I have kids. I love running. I love, love, love running. I’ve ran a couple of 5k’s–minor league stuff, I realize–but nothing serious. I love the way being a runner makes your body feel and look–strong and powerful. I love the way every muscle works when you’re hitting that pavement. Running is just a high for me and with my trusty Pandora, I’m good to go. The way your body gets so sweaty and you can feel your heart in your face.. it’s just empowering.

Since my boob job, though, I haven’t been able to run/won’t be able to run until mid-June or later. And I’m seriously counting down the days. My next goal is to run a 10k, which I feel is highly possible.

Anyway, I love running, I love reading about other women that run and are girly, and girls that eat healthy and run (maybe this will rub off on me?). So when I stumbled across Sarah’s blog (I believe Skinny Runner’s real name is Sarah) I was ecstatic. Of course, in her about me section, she says:

Why SkinnyRunner? Because I’m not particularly skinny and I’m not particularly a runner but I’d like to be both maybe one day… it’d be more accurate to call me a NormalJogger but that just didn’t have the same ring to it.

The skinny, beautiful-skinned, funny ones always call themselves “normal” but the rest of the world knows otherwise.. they’re amazing :) She looks fantastic (has my goal body, except I want my own boobs now!) and she makes running look good!

For those of you who are into running the way that I am, you may want to read her. She does a funny section on her blog called “CELEBRICIZING” where she posts pics of celebs working out. Sometimes her take on celebs makes me laugh. As well as her zany antics.

Oh and she’s married. Which is good for me because it’s hard for me to get into the whole “single girl” blog thing when I can’t relate as much. ANYWAY.. check her out. You won’t be disappointed!
