Cry Baby Friday & Dinner for Schmucks

Thumbs Up to FRIDAY!

I took this picture after I went for my run today. I am giving FRIDAY a thumbs up, not the run. Here’s why:

I had it all planned out that I would run between 4 and 5 miles and feel good. Today at work I was pumped to hit the pavement. I wasn’t sore at all and I kept thinking about how good it would feel to run out my stress and hug sweat it out.

I headed out and half way through my first mile it happened: I turned into the world’s biggest cry baby. “My legs hurt.”  “It’s hot.”  “I can’t breath it’s so hot.”  “I’m tired.” “This doesn’t feel good.”  “I can’t do it.” And guess what? I’m entitled to have those feelings so that’s not why I got upset with myself. Why I got upset was because I LISTENED TO MY CRYBABY SIDE! I only ran 2 miles and then took a small walk after that. Boo :’(

BUT on the bright side, I actually ran and that’s much better than just sittin’ on my toosh, right? So here were the (lamey lame) stats from today’s jog:

Total Distance: 3.31 km (2.06 miles)

Total Time: 21:57

Average Speed: 9.06 km/hr

It didn’t feel like a good run during, but afterwards I got a drink of water and said to myself, “Hey you could’ve kept going you dumby!” Just kidding. I am slightly disappointed but not going to let it get me down because I got a nice little weekend planned :)

Tonight we are going to go see the new Paul Rudd & Steve Carell movie Dinner for Schmucks.

Steve Carell & Paul Rudd in Dinner for Schmucks

I’ve wanted to see this since I saw the first preview. If you know me, you know I’d follow Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Jason Segel, and Seth Rogen anywhere. They’re my favorite comedy actors. I hope it’s good!

Before I go, let me do a quick re-cap of my day.

For breakfast I had a Clif Bar. Didn’t take a picture because you all know what they look like, right? And because I forgot :) The latter more than the former.

I had oatmeal and a Orowheat thin with peanut butter for lunch. Breakfast for lunch sometimes just hits the spot!

Yum Yum

For a snack I had greek yogurt and a peach. I also had some froyo with my friend Sera. It really hit the afternoon spot.. seriously. I got SF/Low Fat Chocolate & Peanut Butter with Sugar Free PB cups. Estimated at 300-400 calories. It was only $2.62! Wahoo!

Froyo baby!

Work drug by today and was kind of stressful so I was happy to get off and come home! I took a 10 minute lay-down break on my bed before I went running, which is actually my 365 challenge picture:
