Ashlee Simpson

Last time I played this game with you guys, we had a difference of opinion. I said I thought the person in question (Sophie Monk) looked slightly unhealthy and the majority of you said you thought she looked normal, and that you thought she probably worked out. I love to see how differently we all look at celebrities! It’s fun :) For this round, I’m using new candids of singer Ashlee Simpson.

Shorty Shorts!

Compared to how she has looked in the past (at her skinniest), I actually think she looks pretty healthy here. She is a bit skinny for my personal taste but she definitely looks better than she used to.

She doesn’t have that boney knee cap thing that the Hilton sisters typically have, which is a good thing.

All in all I’d say she’s the healthier looking of the two Simpson sisters. Although personally, I think Jessica Simpson looks great the way she is! To clarify, I think that Ashlee–in these pictures–looks like she may be in better shape. I am in no way saying skinnier = better or prettier!

I won’t say anything else :) Now I want to hear what you think: the same question applies from last time! Does she look healthy to you?

Celebrity Leg Challenge!

I love watching the Emmys, Oscars, MTV Award shows… all of that stuff! Not because I particularly care who wins (when it comes to came to LOST and Mad Men I care though!) but because I love seeing the celebrities. I find it fun to see how everyone looks, what they are wearing, and hear about their daily regimen. I also like playing trivia games. Combining those two loves has resulted in a little challenge game :)

Which one of you can guess who the six women pictured above are?

No Googling to match up pictures, either! Fair and square :) I even forgot who two of them were when I was putting the picture together, haha!

Also, let’s play a little rating game. After guessing who the legs could possibly belong to, tell me which pair of legs YOU think are the best lookin’. Don’t think of it as judge-y or shallow and just have fun picking which pair you think is the best.

Personally, I’d go for the first or second pair.. they look the most fit to me.

Sophie Monk

Above is a somewhat famous pop star named, as you can see from the caption, Sophie Monk. She’s a singer or an actress and a model.. or something? Anyway, this post is important because I want to know your answer to this question: Does she look HEALTHY? But there are some rules to answering!

1. Excluding her face. Not that it’s awful or anything, but we are talking strictly body here.
2. Let’s try and be nice.. I’m not always the nicest about celebrities because I figure I’ll never meet them, but they ARE people right? :) So nice is a rule now!
3. Good and healthy can unfortunately be two different things. I want to know if you ladies think Sophie looks healthy.

Let me say: I have seen photos of Sophie “working out or “going to the gym” but I know this can just be something we say we do, as opposed to actually doing it. That’s true for celebs and normal people! To me this looks like a girl who has exercised, but doesn’t regularly, and who probably eats very little in order to remain thin for her height (5’7″). I’m not saying she’s got an eating disorder or anything like that, but I just don’t think she looks all that healthy.  I have definitely seen far worse, but I chose these new candids of Sophie because she is in that questionable gray area where she can be dubbed “just really thin”or something else. I’m curious to know what other healthy people think! Please share!

Singer P!nk Biking with Husband Carrie Hart

I was in major need of some inspiration tonight!

I have been feeling totally bloated (TOM) and icky because I haven’t been able to run or take walks because of my knee. We haven’t quite yet built our elliptical so I’ve been limited to bike rides–which I love–but I don’t feel like I’m getting the best work out from them.  I feel like I have to cover tons of miles to feel that sense of accomplishment that I get from a simple 5 mile run. With all that said, I decided instead of getting down I would keep working hard and get inspired!

I love to look at photos of celebrities “working out” because you get to see what they wear (some of the stuff I see looks SO uncomfortable! And silly!), what they do, and the gear and equipment they use. Oddly enough, I enjoy it and it makes me want to work out harder! (P.S. My knee is getting stronger and healing.. I can feel it!)

At first I thought I’d do a post of all the famous women who wear Nike Tempos to work out in because we all seem to like them so much (and I wore my black and white “painting” tempos today to work in the garage.. dang, they’re comfy!) but then I thought, Naa, it’d be more fun to see what everyone wears!

Sometimes it’s fun to choose a female celebrity that has a body with features that are aligned with your goal. Or just a famous female with a killer bod.

If magic existed or if metabolisms could work at the speed of light, here would be some of my favorite female celebrity bodies:

I realize these are a random grouping of ladies, but each of them possesses something I really like!

Jessica Biel has a lot of muscle tone and looks like her body is a result of working out very hard and eating very healthy. It’s a perfect combination of muscle and thin.

Carrie Underwood is toned in her arms, legs, and abs, but isn’t overly toned. She isn’t like Jessica Biel, as in, she obviously doesn’t do a lot of hard core weight work outs but it works with her body. She looks healthy and great!

Gabby Reese has washboard abs! I don’t know if you get those from playing sand volleyball or from a grueling ab work out but either way you can tell she is working hard for those suckers! She’s more muscle than I like but it works on her. I love those abs!

Sarah Jessica Parker has a strong, lean, and healthy look about her. She has muscle tone in her whole body, but she also has a filled out, yet thin, look about her. Does that make sense? She isn’t rail thin but she isn’t solid muscle either. She just looks strong! And she’s got amazing legs!

Sarah Chalke doesn’t have much muscle tone but it appears she may do light cardio, as her legs seem to have shape and light muscle tone. If I was naturally thin and didn’t need to work out, Sarah has a perfect “all natural” look going on! Plus she’s super cute :)

If you had to pick a famous female to mold your body after (realistically…or as realistically as possible!), who would you pick?
