Okay, that’s a bold face lie! There’s no such thing as calorie free sandwiches. Unless you’re eating air sandwiches made with air and filled with air? Mmm, yum. But let’s just say calories didn’t exist. Let’s just indulge our imaginations a second and talk about which sandwiches we’d eat if calories were non-existent. I’ll start with this: Togo’s Turkey and Avocado with Red Onion, Lettuce & Mayo.
I actually had a small one of these last weekend, and they aren’t too bad for you (half the avocado and ditch the mayo), they are just a lot of carbs for those rolls!
If you live on the East coast and aren’t familiar with Togo’s, let me tell you something.. they have such fresh ingredients… it’s great! Here’s how much I love this sandwich: I go there and order even though the service is less than great. Yeah, I put up with bad service to get my hands and drooling mouth on this T&A (turkey and avocado, get your minds out of the gutter!
) above. Um…yum!
Can you tell I like avocado? This is the Chicken & Avocado Sandwich at Baja Fresh. This baby is so good; it’s loaded with calories because of the portion, but tasty as all heck! If calories didn’t matter, and my stomach didn’t hate me for eating avocado more than once a month, I’d eat this sandwich all the time!
Buuutt.. since calories do matter, I get the 6″ veggie delite at Subway. Or I whip up my own little thang!
